✅ Preliminary Examination (Objective Screening)

  • Total Marks: 100 (2-hour duration)

    • 90 marks: General Knowledge, Aptitude, English, Constitution, CPC, CrPC, Torts, Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, IPC, Evidence

    • 10 marks: Mizo language proficiency

  • Type: Multiple-choice questions with no negative marking

  • Shortlisting Ratio: Approx. 1:10 for mains

✅ Main Written Examination (Descriptive)

  • Papers: 4 × 100 marks

    1. Law Paper I: Constitution, CPC, Transfer of Property

    2. Law Paper II: IPC, CrPC, Evidence, Law of Torts

    3. English Composition: Essay, précis, grammar

    4. General Knowledge: Objective test, current affairs, aptitude

  • Duration: 3 hours per paper

✅ Interview (Viva Voce)

  • Marks: 70

  • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 40%

  • Assessed on: Legal reasoning, personality, communication skills, suitability for the judiciary
