✅ Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

  • Total Marks: 100

  • Duration: 1.5 hours

  • Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • Syllabus Includes:

    • Constitution of India

    • Code of Civil Procedure

    • Code of Criminal Procedure

    • Indian Evidence Act

    • Indian Penal Code

    • Transfer of Property Act

    • Contract Act

    • Limitation Act

  • Qualifying in Nature: Marks not counted in final merit

  • Purpose: To shortlist candidates for the Mains exam

✅ Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type)

  • Total Papers: 5

    1. General English – Essay, Precis, Grammar & Translation (100 marks)

    2. Procedural Laws – CrPC, CPC, Evidence Act (150 marks)

    3. Substantive Laws – IPC, Contract Act, Property Law, Limitation Act (150 marks)

    4. & 5. Two Optional Papers (Choose any two from):

      • Law of Torts

      • Personal Law

      • Law of Property

      • Law of Contract

      • Law of Motor Vehicles

      • Law of Sales of Goods and Partnership

      • Law related to Local Acts

  • Each Paper: 150 marks

  • Duration: 3 hours per paper

  • Total Marks: 750

✅ Interview / Viva Voce

  • Marks: 100

  • Eligibility: Only candidates scoring qualifying marks in the Mains exam will be called

  • Evaluation Based On: Legal aptitude, general awareness, ethics, communication skills, and personality

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Criteria Description
Nationality Must be a citizen of India
Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university + 3 Year Exp
Age Limit 23 to 35 years as of the notification date
Age Relaxation Up to 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/female candidates
Experience Relaxation Govt. servants with 7+ years service in law-related roles may apply up to 39 years
