Aonishiki Arata Becomes First Ukrainian to Win a Sumo Tournament
Aonishiki Arata (Danylo Yavhusishyn) is the first Ukrainian to win a major sumo tournament.
He won the 2025 Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament after a tie-break victory over Hoshoryu.
Aonishiki began practising sumo at age seven and turned professional in July 2023.
His rise to the upper divisions is the fifth fastest since the 1958 tournament system began.
OmanSat-1: Oman’s First National Communications Satellite Launched
OmanSat-1 is Oman’s first national communications satellite.
It is built on Airbus’ flexible OneSat platform.
The satellite operates in the high-capacity Ka-band.
Space Communications Technologies will manage post-launch operations.
Constitution 131st Amendment Bill 2025
Article 240 empowers the President to issue regulations for specified Union Territories.
The Bill proposes adding Chandigarh to the list of Union Territories governed under Article 240.
Chandigarh currently functions as the shared capital of Punjab and Haryana.
The central government has clarified it does not intend to alter Chandigarh’s traditional administrative arrangements.
